How well do you know the bride questions: beautiful bride wearing a sash

A bridal shower is the perfect way to celebrate your pal or bestie’s love story and upcoming nuptials. Not only is there time to be sentimental, but these events also leave plenty of room for fun and games. Among our favorites is the “How well do you know the bride” game.

This game puts guests to the test with questions to see how well everyone knows the future Mrs. Questions range from saucy and sassy to challenging and simple so everyone can participate in a way that’s fun for them.

If you’re hosting the bridal shower, you’re in charge of putting on the entertainment (including this game!). Here you’ll find tips on how to play and some “How well do you know the bride” questions you can use to make planning simpler.

How to Play “How Well Do You Know the Bride

How well do you know the bride questions: bridesmaids playing a card game

This is one of our favorite bridal shower games because it’s incredibly fun and it doesn’t take a lot of effort to put together. It’s also a popular bachelorette party game and can be played at engagement parties. Here’s a quick guide on how to play before we jump into some inspiration for the actual questions.

1. Make a List of Questions

First, start by creating a list of questions you’ll ask all of the participants. Sit down with the bride-to-be to generate the list together or make it a surprise. Be sure to talk to the bride to figure out what types of questions she’s comfortable with. If the guest list is just a group of close friends, you may want to include a few naughty questions for a fun vibe. If the guests will include a mother-in-law or extended family member, you may want to keep things PG.

Once you’ve created a question list, print them out on card stock or thick paper. Make sure you have enough game cards for every guest and print out a few extras just in case.

If you have a bridal shower theme, incorporate design elements on your question list. For example, if you’re hosting an Italian-inspired celebration like a lemon-themed shower, accents like Amalfi lemons and blue tiles are a perfect choice. For a fall-themed shower, acorns, sunflowers, and pumpkins add a festive touch. You can print them on your own or use a site like Etsy to get pre-made designs.

2. Create an Answer Sheet

Have the bride answer each of the questions to create an answer sheet. This is what you’ll use to determine the winner of each question and the game overall. As the host, you can read the correct answers out loud during the shower or you can give the honors to the bride.

3. Give Participants Their Materials

During the bridal shower, set aside 10 to 20 minutes for the game. When guests arrive, give each one a question list and a pencil or pen to jot down their answers. If easier, you can lay out these supplies on the guest tables instead. Let guests know the rules of the game, being sure to explain if they can work together or if they should fill out their answers individually.

4. Crown a Winner

When everyone’s done, call their attention to the front of the room to read out the answers and decide who knows the bride best. Go through the list answering each question one by one and have guests score themselves. At the end, crown a winner (or a few!) and hand out prizes.
